The Michigan Fatherhood Coalition partnered with the Michigan Head Start Association to hold the 6th Annual Fatherhood Conference on February 1, 2008.  The conference was held at the Double Tree Hotel in Dearborn, MI and the following awards were presented in honor of those who continue to support the Michigan Fatherhood Coalition initiatives and the commitment to responsible fatherhood.  Click here to view the program brochure.  Click here to view awards.

The Michigan Fatherhood Coalition held its 3rd Annual Planning Meeting on August 20th and 21st, 2008 at the Kettunen Center in Tustin, MI.  The MFC annual meeting is open to anyone who is interested in "nurturing fathers and thriving children".

The Annual Meeting focused on strategic planning for the next year; fireside chats were conducted to discuss the various programs, projects,and approaches with fatherhood initiatives; planning session for preparing for Responsible Fatherhood Awareness month for 2008; and committee planning and goals and objective development for each group.

In 2005, the Michigan Fatherhood Coalition started its 1st Annual Planning Meeting where coalition members can discuss issues pertinent to father involvement and develop plans for the coming year. The Annual Meeting also provides coalition members a wonderful opportunity to become better acquainted with each other in a less formal atmosphere.

Annual Meetings have been held at the R.A. McMullin Conference Center, owned by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and located in the peaceful, wooded surroundings of Higgins Lake.

The 2006 MFC Annual Meeting discussions included the following topics: Grants, Coalition subcommittees, Fundraising, Curriculum, and Trainings.
